Refund Policy

At Discount Flooring Sydney, we are committed to providing high-quality products and excellent customer service. Our refund policy is designed to comply with Australian Consumer Law while ensuring fair business practices.

No Change of Mind Returns

In accordance with Australian Consumer Law, Discount Flooring Sydney does not accept returns or provide refunds for change of mind purchases. All sales are final once the transaction is completed.

Consumer Guarantees

Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. These guarantees ensure that our products:

  • Are of acceptable quality
  • Match the description provided
  • Are fit for their intended purpose

If a product fails to meet these guarantees, you may be entitled to a remedy as outlined below.

Faulty or Damaged Products

In the event that you receive a product that is faulty or damaged due to a manufacturing defect, please contact us immediately at enquiries@discountflooringsydney.com.au. Provide a detailed description of the issue along with clear photographs of the defect.

We will assess the claim and, if valid, provide one of the following remedies as appropriate:

  1. Repair of the product
  2. Replacement of the product
  3. Refund of the purchase price

The type of remedy provided will depend on whether the failure to comply with the consumer guarantee is major or minor:

  • For major failures, you are entitled to your choice of a refund or replacement.
  • For minor failures, we will repair the product within a reasonable time. If we fail to do so, you may choose a refund or replacement.

Exemptions

The following items cannot be returned or refunded under any circumstances:

  • Custom Stair Nosing
  • Floor Adhesives
  • Leveller
  • Underlay
  • Moisture Barriers
  • Hazardous materials
  • Flammable liquids or gases

Proof of Purchase

To process any claim under consumer guarantees, we require a valid proof of purchase. This can be in the form of a receipt, invoice, or order confirmation email.

Shipping Costs

In cases where a product is found to be faulty or damaged due to a manufacturing defect, Discount Flooring Sydney will cover the cost of return shipping. For all other cases, shipping costs are non-refundable and the responsibility of the customer.

How to Make a Claim

  1. Contact our Customer Service Team at enquiries@discountflooringsydney.com.au with your order details and a description of the issue.
  2. Our team will assess your claim and provide further instructions if necessary.
  3. If your claim is approved, we will arrange for the appropriate remedy (repair, replacement, or refund) as per Australian Consumer Law.
